Zuzana Fajmonová is an award-winning visual artist and art director working at the intersection of photography, scenography and visual storytelling. Her work has received international recognition including a Gold Medal at the World Photographic Cup, and she collaborates with theatres and creative institutions on conceptual visual projects.
Since 2020, she has been teaching photography through interdisciplinary workshops where students learn not only technical skills but also creative thinking, visual research and artistic confidence.
Her authentic and intuitive approach connects fine art, emotion and concept, encouraging students to see photography as a tool for personal expression and visual storytelling.

„Interdisciplinary Art Workshop“
Interdisciplinary art workshop at Charbulova Secondary School in Brno, where I led students from photography, styling, and hair & makeup departments through the creation of a collaborative fashion project based on the collection Childhood Memories by designer Eliška Vystrčilová. Together, we developed several visual scenes and produced a small fashion campaign combining photography, body painting, and set design.
As a lecturer, I guided students through the entire creative process — from concept development and visual storytelling to working with models, space, and different lighting conditions. Students rotated between roles, collaborated across disciplines, and were encouraged to experiment, think independently, and step beyond their usual approach.

„Workshop in New York“
One-week photography workshop in New York focused on experimental and fashion photography and videography, organized for university students specializing in fine-art photography. Participants had the opportunity to gain insight into my complete creative process — from the initial concept, moodboard creation, and working with symbolism to the realization of photographs in iconic city locations, working with professional models as well as capturing authentic moments with passers-by, which was intended to help students step outside their comfort zones and develop confidence in real-life shooting situations.
The workshop was designed as an intensive creative experience in a small group, with an emphasis not only on technical skills but especially on developing visual thinking, storytelling, and finding a personal artistic voice. The program also included portfolio reviews and discussions about current trends in fine-art and fashion photography.

„Workshop for Art Students
Two-day interdisciplinary photography workshop at the Secondary School of Crafts and Services in Děčín, where I led students through a creative project focused on conceptual portrait photography using recycled and upcycled materials. Students designed their own props, developed visual concepts, and created original portraits inspired by fashion and editorial photography.
During the workshop, I guided students to think beyond technical execution and focus on creativity, storytelling, and transforming everyday materials into strong visual elements. They also worked with lighting, styling, and concept development to better understand the complete creative workflow from idea to final image.
As part of the project, students additionally processed their final photographs into graphic designs of fictional posters, allowing them to think and work like graphic designers and understand how photography functions within visual communication and campaign design.
„Workshop for Art School Students„
Interdisciplinary workshop at SUŠ Liberec focused on Fauvism and the work of Henri Matisse, where I guided students through a creative process connecting fine art inspiration with contemporary photographic interpretation. The assignment was to reinterpret one of Matisse’s paintings through a collaborative visual scene combining body painting, collage, and staged photography.
Inspired by Matisse’s cut-outs, students worked with simplified shapes, expressive color, and symbolism. They created paper flower forms, worked with black and white body painting referencing Matisse’s visual language, and collaboratively constructed a living composition. The process encouraged them to think about how painting principles such as color, form, and emotion can be translated into a photographic image.
As a lecturer, I led students through the process from artistic research and concept development to the final staged photograph. The workshop emphasized experimentation, teamwork, and the courage to interpret historical art movements in a contemporary way, helping students understand how inspiration from art history can become a starting point for their own visual language.
„Workshop for Art Students“
Interdisciplinary photography workshop at SUŠ Liberec inspired by Futurism, where students explored movement, technology, and collective identity through an experimental class portrait. The assignment challenged them to rethink the traditional class photograph and transform it into a dynamic, concept-driven image influenced by the aesthetics of Futurist art.
Students worked with metallic materials such as aluminum foil and silver body paint to create a futuristic, sci-fi inspired visual atmosphere. The shoot took place outdoors, where they experimented with reflective surfaces, composition, and group dynamics to build a strong visual concept representing energy, progress, and movement.
As part of the technical process, students also explored lighting techniques combining continuous light with flash, allowing them to understand how different light sources interact and shape the final image. The workshop emphasized collaboration, experimentation, and the ability to translate an art-historical movement into a contemporary photographic concept.
