the artist

Zuzana Fajmonová (1987, Czech Republic) is a European visual artist and fine-art photographer known for her distinctive fusion of photography, theatre, and design. Her imagery combines meticulous composition, symbolism, and emotional depth — transforming ideas into cinematic, handcrafted worlds.

Her work has been recognized internationally, earning her the Gold Medal at the World Photography Cup 2024 in Dallas, and multiple honors from FEP Europe, Mile Awards, and other juried exhibitions. She is a member of APF (Professional Photographers).

Her photographs have been exhibited across Europe and the United States — including the Clam-Gallas Palace and Galerie Mánes in Prague, Art Market Budapest, Munich’s Viele Gesichter exhibition, and the World Photography Cup exhibition in Dallas. Her Pop-Art series was selected as the official visual identity of the 2023 Prague Photo Festival.

Each artwork is carefully constructed: Zuzana designs and handcrafts her own props, paints backdrops and bodies, and sketches every scene before shooting. Deeply inspired by art history, her series reinterpret movements such as Pop Art, Abstraction, Cubism, and Surrealism, merging them with contemporary storytelling.

Today, she lives in Liberec, Czech Republic, working internationally across fine-art, fashion, and educational projects. She is the founder of a creative school, Atelier Kreativna, and leads international workshops in New York, Italy, and Central Europe, inspiring photographers and artists to create with depth, emotion, and authenticity.

program

overview

Day 1

Discovering the language of emotion

The first day begins long before the camera.
It starts with silence, observation, and the question:
What do you want your images to say?

In this first chapter, participants are guided through Zuzana’s full creative process — from idea to visual direction. You’ll experience how fine-art photography is born: not from technique, but from emotion, intuition, and design thinking.

Morning — Inspiration & Story

We begin through conversation, sketches, and curated examples from art history, you’ll learn how to translate it all into concrete visual ideas.

You’ll explore:

  • How to define a story that carries meaning and emotion

  • The power of intuition and metaphor in visual storytelling

  • Finding personal themes — identity, silence, transformation

  • How art movements such as Surrealism, Pop Art, and other influence color and composition

Before we create, we prepare everything for the photoshoot.

Afternoon — Visual Language & Preparation

In the afternoon, the focus shifts from concept to creation.
Together we will develop visual frameworks that later become living scenes.
You’ll observe and take part in the exact process Zuzana uses when building her own series.

We will:

  • Create individual moodboards and sketches

  • Experiment with symbolic color palettes

  • Study balance, texture, and composition through light

  • Discuss prop design and its narrative meaning

  • Begin the preparation of set materials and costumes for Day 2

By the end of the first day, every participant will have a complete creative direction — a visual concept ready to materialize.

Evening Reflection

We close the day with an open discussion — reflecting on artistic choices, emotion, and symbolism.
This shared space allows participants to articulate their intention and prepare for the act of creation awaiting them on the second day.

The first day ends not with images, but with vision.
Tomorrow, we will bring it to life.

Day 2

The Art of Creation

The second day is devoted to transformation — to turning sketches, ideas, and colors from Day 1 into living, breathing art.
This is where thought becomes texture, and emotion takes shape.

You’ll step behind the scenes of Zuzana’s artistic process and actively take part in the making of a fine-art image — from set design to the final visual composition.

From imagination to tangible form

Morning — Building the Scene

The day begins with a shared energy — the studio turns into a stage.
Together, we start crafting the visual world conceived the day before.

You’ll see how every detail matters:

  • Building scenography using simple materials, fabrics, and found objects

  • Creating balance between chaos and harmony within the frame

  • Working with color psychology and how hues affect emotion

  • Preparing and styling costumes, props, and surfaces

  • Adjusting light and atmosphere to evoke mood

Afternoon — The Living Image

When the space feels right, the camera becomes an extension of intuition.
This part of the day focuses on interaction, direction, and the living moment of creation.

You’ll learn to:

  • Work with a model as collaborator, not subject

  • Capture emotion through gesture and stillness

  • Use movement, rhythm, and light to express feeling

  • Apply body painting and symbolic detail to deepen narrative

  • Observe how Zuzana’s process connects intuition with technical precision

Each participant will be part of the collaborative creation — contributing ideas, observing transformation, and capturing moments that reveal the emotional essence of the work.

Evening — Reflection & Dialogue

We end the workshop not with a goodbye, but with reflection.
Together, we review the created artworks, discussing color choices, composition, and emotional resonance.
Zuzana offers personal feedback to each participant, helping them define their own artistic language and direction for future projects.

The journey ends with a new way of seeing — not only the world, but yourself as an artist.

 Outcome of Day 2

  • A complete fine-art scene created collectively under Zuzana’s direction

  • Hands-on experience with artistic set design, color, light, and body painting

  • Deeper understanding of symbolism, visual rhythm, and storytelling

  • Confidence to develop your own authorial photographic language

what clients

say

Real stories from artists and photographers who experienced the Inside the Vision workshop.

„Top-level professional who can both guide and inspire.“

„We had the unique opportunity to take part in a creative photography workshop led by Zuzana Fajmonová, who not only guided us through the world of fine-art photography but also provided an incredible environment for our own artistic expression.

The workshop began with a professional and deeply inspiring presentation that gave us insight into her portfolio and her artistic thinking. It was fascinating to see how she connects artistic vision with practical creation and how naturally she leads students toward their own development.

During the practical part, we had access to a wide range of props that Zuzana brought with her, which helped everyone bring their ideas to life.
We started by refining our concepts, created visual sketches, and then built complete scenes in the studio — setting up lights, choosing color palettes, and working with models. Students could experiment with face painting, transparent materials, and creating unique compositions using paper and plastic props.

Throughout the entire process, Zuzana was always present — offering advice, helping with styling, or physically assisting on set. Her energy and creativity motivated everyone to go beyond what they thought possible.

Zuzana Fajmonová is a top-level professional who can both guide and inspire.
Her creative approach and energetic teaching style were truly enriching, and the students appreciated her openness and passion.

This workshop is highly recommended to anyone who wants to expand their artistic boundaries and discover new ways of creating through photography.

Thank you, Zuzana! 🔥📸
